Our Semaglutide for Weight Loss Program in Austin is one of our most popular weight loss programs, and it’s easy to tell why. It doesn’t require a highly restrictive diet or strenuous workouts—but still delivers results! If you stick to the program, you can lose an average of one to three pounds per week without drastically changing your diet.
Semaglutide is an injection medication that may help overweight adults lose weight and keep it off. By mimicking Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) in the body, Semaglutide increases insulin secretion and slows down gastric emptying—or, how fast your stomach empties food. This helps suppress your appetite—so you feel full longer—helping you eat less and lose weight in the process.
Unlock the benefits of Semaglutide for your weight management journey. These medications are designed to help individuals in achieving effective weight control. By mimicking the GLP-1 hormone, Semaglutide boosts insulin production and slows stomach emptying, helping you feel satiated for longer periods. Our Prescription Semaglutide Program offers a thorough weight loss assessment, customized dietary guidelines, and continuous support to help you reach and maintain your desired weight.
“I have personally saved over $400 monthly on food and alcohol costs while being on first, Semaglutide and now Tirzepatide. I never thought I would save money on this program. I suggest Blue Tree Health to everyone."

Yes. Semaglutide is an injectable prescription medication for adults who are either overweight or obese. Technically referred to as a “GLP-1 receptor agonist medicine,” Semaglutide mimics glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) by increasing insulin secretion and suppressing appetite.
Semaglutide works by mimicking a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (or GLP-1) that specifically targets areas in the brain that regulate appetite and food intake. This may help you eat less, thereby helping you lose weight.
You may lose 1-2 pounds per week on average by taking the reccomended dosage of Semaglutide—2.4 mg once per week.
To stay in accordance with the program, you should take Semaglutide once a week, at any time of day, with or without food. Injections can be given at the Blue Tree Health office or you can take them at home.
Yes. Semaglutide can cause the following side effects: headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, fatigue, upset stomach, constipation, and diarrhea, as well as belching and heartburn. Check with your doctor immediately if any of the aforementioned side effects occur while taking Semaglutide.
You should avoid taking Semaglutide if you or your family have a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC).
Not exactly. While a reduced-calorie meal plan may help increase the rate at which you lose weight (and help you keep it off), dieting is not required to lose weight on the program.
If you want to lose more weight faster, we can suggest a low calorie diet for you to follow that can make weight loss easier by increasing the number of calories you burn each day.
Until you hit your goal weight and then a maintenance dose is an option to maintain your weight. (This is depending on supply. Currently we are not experiencing a shortage with our pharmacy… knock on wood :)
No, as long as you are maintaining a healthy lifestyle ( low sugar/starch intake, exercise, reduce processed foods, staying with BMR-please discuss with provider). Use the medicine as tool to change your lifestyle instead of doing a crash diet. Crash Diets in the long term are not sustainable, so it’s important to use medicine as a tool to help make better lifestyle changes (as with any weight loss medicine.) It also helps after you lose your weight to weigh at home weekly and have some sort of accountability. (Example: Check in for a B12 or Lipoden shot once a month).
Semaglutide has a very consistent average weight loss of 4-8 lbs. a month.
Everyone is very different on they process medicine. Some people process medicine at a faster rate than others, so it can be done earlier than a week if you would like to increase the concentration faster.
Please talk with a nurse or the provider about this option but generally every 5-7 days is good assuming there is no nausea.
