HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin, is a group of amino acids that works in combination in with our specific dietary protocol and FDA-approved appetite suppressants to help control hunger and gain in your confidence back. Patients who follow the HCG Diet program have seen a loss of up to an average of ½-1 pound a day. Weight loss for those patients has been most commonly seen in the midsection.

HCG has been around since the 1950s created by endocrinologist Dr. Simeon. His work found that by affecting the hypothalamus in a positive way, patients were losing weight at an extreme pace. Human chorionic gonadotropin is a hormone produced by the placenta after implantation. Using HCG affects how your body loses weight, while the diet helps with the actual weight loss.
Although HCG medication hasn’t been approved to treat weight loss, it has been studied by many weight loss professionals with excellent results. For a thorough explanation of HCG and its effects on losing weight, talk to Blue Tree Health Medical today!
During a three week period, using a combination of our specific medical protocols, our patients have shown average medical weight loss of 18-28 pounds. It is common to see patients lose between ½ and 1 pound per day, when using HCG diet, following the diet strictly, and following our medical recommendations.
Blue Tree Health offers HCG injections that are quick, easy, and relatively painless. HCG injections have the option of adding B12 to their regimen. HCG plans are for 42 days of injections. Injections are done daily at home, by the patient. A complete physical history and exam will be taken before any therapy is started. Blood work is included in pricing if you have not had labs done in the past year.
The HCG Diet consists of small portions of protein, vegetables and fruits (handouts with more detailed information will be provided in the office) with the main focus of cutting out fats while on the diet. Most patients say they feel as if they underwent a “detox” after the program and typically feel less bloated while having more energy.
HCG is currently not recommended for Vegans, due to the severe calorie restrictions while on the diet, and a lack of adequate protein and nutrients from only Vegan food sources.
HCG diets are possible for people who are gluten free. If you have gluten restrictions, discuss this with Dr. Griffin at Blue Tree Health before starting treatment.
HCG diets can still be done while on a vegetarian diet. However, it’s imperative to find adequate protein sources in lieu of meat. Protein rich alternatives to meat may include supplements and skim milk, along with various other alternatives like egg whites or pea protein.
